The Coilmac ER is a fully featured, heavy-duty manual coil punching machine, with a built-in Electric coil inserter. The re-designed & improved CoilMac-ER is the ideal partner for mid-volume workloads. The CoilMac ER Comes in two models: CoilMac-ER - Round Holes, 4:1 Pitch (.250"), and CoilMac-ER+ - Oval Holes, 4:1 Pitch (.248") punching machine, with a built-in Electric coil inserter.

Coil Inserting Binding on Akiles CoilMac ER-Series
- Align punched document and place it on top of machine or table. Insert the coil into the first 4 to 5 holes. See picture 1
- Hold document evenly against roller (coil must slightly touch the roller). See picture 2
- Press foot pedal. The coil will automatically move forward inserting itself into the holes. See picture 2
- After the last hole insertion, IMMEDIATELY move document away from roller and/or stop pressing the foot pedal.
- Use crimpers to cut and crimp the excess coil. Make sure you crimp-in both ends. This procedure will prevent the document from unbinding itself. See picture 3
Akiles CoilMac ER-Series Set-Up Guide
- Use coil size guide to determine the correct depth margin and coil diameter. See picture 1
- To adjust to the correct punching margin, press and rotate the depth margin control. See picture 2
- (OPTIONAL) Use the coil diameter selector to determine or double check that you are using the correct coil diameter for your document. See picture 3
- The depth margin control button must bounce back upon release. If it does not, rotate it slightly back and forth until it does. See picture 4
